As a foodie, I love visiting new places for the love of food. So, last week i went to Chili’s, Inorbit Malad. It is a family-friendly chain serving classic Tex-Mex & American fare in a Southwestern-style setting, located at 2nd floor, Inorbit Mall, Malad.Usually it’s a crowded place on a Saturday eve, luckily we found a table without the hassle of waiting.
The first thing we ordered was Veggie & Cheese Quesadillas. It’s spinach and mushroom creamy sauce, fajita onion & monterey Jack cheese in buttery toasted tortillas. Served with sour cream & house-made pico de gallo. I really liked it, especially the mushrooms plus the sour cream made it a lip smacking dish.
Second we ordered Chipotle Fresh Mex Bowl. It is marinated grilled cottage cheese & veggies with house-made corn & black bean salsa rice and chipotle-pesto.Topped with cheddar cheese, house-made pico de gallo, fresh field greens, chopped cilantro, crispy toryilla strips, fresh sliced avocado & a drizzle of cumin-lime sour cream. Though the whole dish was good yet it wasn’t that appealing to the taste buds, the cottage cheese was good and even the rice but somehow it couldn’t hit the right notes on my tongue.
Last but not the least we had Southern Smokehouse Burger. It’s Applewood smoked chicken(choice between beef, chicken and lamb), sharp panko onion rings, leaf lettuce, tomato & their signature sauce. Served witha side of Chili’s classic BBQ sauce. This was a really filling dish. Tue fries were good and the pickles with the chicken patty made the burger’s each bite incredible. It was juicy and had really good flavors to savor.
In general, I would give Chili’s a thumbs up, and a place which is a “must visit” atleast once.
